Tatra banka offers a comprehensive offer of banking services and personal access to retail and corporate clients. Tatra banka was established in 1990 as the first private bank in Slovakia after 1989. It is part of the Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International AG. Tatra Banka provides services to 740,000 clients through more than 120 branches.
Existing application without the possibility of further development
Tatra banka was using IBM Lotus Notes. They wanted to get rid of Lotus Notes applications due to the costs related to supporting this legacy platform and the inevitable termination of support services in June, 2024. The client was looking for a certified partner who would be able to modernize their business applications from IBM to a new platform that they would be able to easily develop and scale with in the future.
Implementing IBM Lotus Notes to SharePoint online and Azure web apps
Initial pre-project stage has been delivered by Microsoft company. Applications have been split into main groups based on the complexity of the application. Then detailed technical analysis of each application had been performed by PRINCIPAL. Based on this analysis and monetary value, a decision to go into migration /redevelopment has been made by cuctomer.
Accelerating business by combining Microsoft products
The initial goal and intension was to migrate applications solely into MS SharePoint Online. However, the suitability of other Microsoft cloud platform features had been agreed within the project delivery. PowerApps, Azure functions, MS logic apps and also custom development of applications running on MS Azure were utilized. We executed the whole life cycle – from analysis, design, test migrations, final migrations, support during UAT and release to production.

We have met clients expectation and delivered applications we have been asked to analyze and migrate.
